“Minty Ginger Granny Smith”

4 Granny Smiths, cored but not peeled, then cut into chunks
a chunk of fresh ginger, peeled and sliced
4-8 sprigs of mint
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice (optional)
- Push half the apples through the tube, then the ginger, mint, and lime juice, if using, then the remaining apples.
- Variation – Frozen Apple Margarita —- Put 1 cup crushed ice into a blender, add the juice, and blend to a froth. The Margarita is ready when the sound of the motor changes – that means the mixture has risen away from the blades.
